1. Who We Are

Saul Inc. ("Saul", "we", "us", "our") operates the Saul platform at usesaul.com — an AI-powered video evidence review service for legal professionals. Our contact email is hello@usesaul.com.

2. What Data We Collect

Account data: When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google.

Evidence files: Video and audio files you upload, along with associated metadata (filename, file size, duration).

Payment data: Stripe processes all payments. We store a Stripe payment ID and timestamp, but never your card details.

Usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages accessed) for security and debugging.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide the Saul service:

  • Authenticating your account
  • Storing and processing your uploaded evidence files
  • Running transcription jobs via AWS Transcribe
  • Running AI analysis via OpenAI
  • Processing payments via Stripe

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the sub-processors listed below.

4. Data Residency & Security

All evidence files are stored in Amazon S3 in the United States. All database and application infrastructure runs in the United States. Evidence never leaves US infrastructure.

Files are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access is role-based and logged.

5. Sub-Processors

We use the following sub-processors to deliver the service:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — file storage (S3) and transcription (Transcribe), United States
  • OpenAI — transcript analysis, United States
  • Stripe — payment processing, United States
  • Google — OAuth authentication
  • Vercel — application hosting, United States

6. Data Retention

Uploaded evidence files and associated transcripts are retained as long as your account is active. Unpaid evidence files are automatically deleted after 7 days. You may delete individual evidence files or your entire account at any time by contacting hello@usesaul.com.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@usesaul.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes acceptance.
